Header and Footer

You can create a header or footer for your community or community template, or for the View User Profile page.

To select a header or footer:

  1. Under Community Header, click Browse to display the Select a Header dialog box.

  2. Navigate to the header you want, select it, and click OK to save your settings. Once you have selected a header, you can click it to set its preferences just for this community.

  3. Under Community Footer, click Browse to display the Select a Footer dialog box.

  4. Navigate to the footer you want, select it, and click OK to save your settings. Once you have selected a footer, you can click it to set its preferences just for this community.

  5. If you are editing a community template, you can also specify whether communities created from the template must use the header and footer from the Experience Definition that displays to the user. Because users might be assigned to different Experience Definitions with different headers and footers, communities created from this template might display different headers and footers to different users.

To use Experience Definition headers and footers, select Force Community to use Header and Footer from Experience Definition.

    Note:
This option does not display in the Community Editor in the User Profile Manager.

Note: To edit a community, you need Edit privilege for the community.

Note: To create a community, you need Edit access for the administrative folder and the Create Community activity right.
