Main Settings (Activity Manager)

All users in the Administrators group have access to all areas and features of the portal. For all other users, you control (on a group basis) who can perform administrative tasks by granting rights to portal activities. Users who do not have permission to perform a particular activity do not see the corresponding user interface elements in the portal.

Many activities are available when you install the portal, but you can also create custom activities.

Assigning Activity Rights

To assign an activity right to a group:

  1. Click the activity right you want to assign. This launches the Edit Portal Activity page.

  2. Under Groups with Rights, click Add Group.

  3. In the Select Groups dialog box, navigate to the group to whom you want to grant the activity right and click OK.

  4. Click Finish in the Edit Portal Activity Page.

  5. Click Finish in the Activity Manager Utility.
