HTTP Configuration (Remote Portlet Web Service)

To specify the caching and gateway settings for this Web Service:

  1. Under Gateway Caching:

  2. Under Settings:

These settings are used primarily for existing web applications that are surfaced through the portal through a remote portlet.

  1. Under Gateway URL Prefixes:

If you want to gateway content, in the Gateway URL Prefixes box, type the prefix for which you want to gateway content. For example, if you type http://myServer/myPortlet/ as the prefix, all content having a URL beginning with this prefix will be gatewayed. Other content will be left in its original location.

Note:
Gateway URL prefixes must end with a forward slash (/).

If you associated a remote server on the Main Settings page, you can type a relative path (/myPortlet/) or an absolute path (http://myServer/myPortlet/). If you enter an absolute path, ignore the base URL.

Note:
To gateway everything on the remote server, type a period followed by a forward slash (./).

  1. Click Administration.
  2. Open the Remote Portlet Web Service Editor:
  3. On the left, under Edit Object Settings, click HTTP Configuration.
