The Search Service Status page displays current information about your Search Service. The portal establishes a connection to the Query Server and Index Server (generally the same service) and retrieves the following information:
Information |
Description |
Host Name |
Displays the name of the computer that hosts the Search Service. |
Port Number |
Displays the port number used by the Search Service. |
Uptime |
Displays how long the Search Service has been continuously running. |
Index Directory |
Displays the directory in which your Search Service index files are stored. |
Number of searchable items |
Displays the number of indexed objects. |
Number of deleted items |
Displays the number of items deleted from the index. |
To close the Search Service Status dialog box, click OK.
If this page does not display any status information, it probably means that the portal cannot connect to the Search Service. Verify that the server host name and port number in the Search Settings Manager are correct and that the Plumtree Portal Search Service service is running on the server host machine.
