Misc Settings (Snapshot Portlet)

The Snapshot Portlet displays search results from a specific snapshot query. This page lets you set the administrative preferences for this Snapshot Portlet.

  1. The snapshot query associated with this portlet is displayed next to Linked to Snapshot Query. To change (or set) this association, click , choose a snapshot query, and click OK. Changing the associated snapshot query may require that you change the display fields section on this page.

  2. Under Display Fields, click Add Display Field to choose the fields you want to display in the search results of this query. Select the fields you want and click OK.  You can choose from among the available fields, which are determined in the snapshot query editor of the associated query.

    For each field, select whether to display it in a column or row.

    Use the up and down arrows on the right to set the order in which the fields are displayed.

    To delete a display field, select it and click .

  3. Under Search Fields, click Add Search Field to choose the fields that users of this portlet can search on. Select the fields you want and click OK. If no search fields are added, the search form is not displayed in the portlet.

    To delete a search field, select it and click .

  4. Click Finish to save the settings. Click Finish again to save the portlet.


  1. Navigate to the page where the Snapshot Portlet is placed.
  2. In the portlet's titlebar, click .
  3. Next to Configure this Portlet, click Edit.
